VMware ESXi – Host stuck during reboot shows message „Shutting down device drivers<\/h3>\n

i just started a upgrade process of the 8 x PowerEdge MX750c with installed VMware ESXi, 8.0.2, 22380479, but when i tryied to reboot the host, on the every host i had similar issue „Shutting down device drivers“<\/p>\n

Hardware drivers on the host are not compatible, which means devices cannot shut down normally. This will stick out the reboot progress, because this module is not running normally, and the next module will always be waiting for the previous module until it is finished.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The solution is easy – Perform a hard reset of the server to restart the ESXi system. This will likely resolve the issue and allow the upgrade task to finish after a normal reboot.<\/p>\n
