vSphere Data Protection (VDP) : Unable to consolidate VM access file since its locked
backup job for VM DC2 got „error“ and „unable to access file since it is locked“ but… we don’t have any snapshots for this VM.
After a little investigation… my VDP appliance had mounted .vdmk of DC2, thats is problem why cannot consolidate DC2 and why is file locked… The solution is shutdown VDP appliance and remove disk of VM – in my case DC2 (hard disk 8)
Be sure to only remove it from this VM and not the datastore!!
