Veeam Backup and Replication 10 – Cannot connect to the host’s administrative share

• Veeam Backup and Replication V10
• Hyperv 2016 standalone host
• Windows 2012 R2 guest OS

• using Application Aware Image Processing

The error message is:

Failed to connect to guest agent. Errors: 'Cannot connect to the host's administrative share. Host: [w.x.y.z]. Account: []. Win32 error:The network path was not found. Code: 53'.

Try open ADMIN$ share

(\\hostname\admin$)

in my case is not working… 

i tried disable firewall but still not working. 

Solution is: 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System.

Create a DWORD value called LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy and assign it a value of 1.
