Windows NPS (Radius) and Fortigate Wireless – Windows 10 – Can’t connect to this network

Its few days ago, that i faced issue with Windows NPS (radius server) on Windows Server 2016, Fortigate 200E and FortiAPs. The windows, which is in the domain and have root domain certificate says „Can’t connect to this network“. In event log on NPS server the auht process was OK and NPS server granted the access. I tried connect to Wifi with my Macbook Pro and iPhone, both devices were sucessfully connected to Wifi, thats means that problem is in Windows OS.

I tried change config of NPS server, i tried change config on the Fortigate but nothing working.

After some hours of searching i set PMF (Protected Management Frames) to disabled on Fortigate and i the connection was sucessfull ! 🙂

  • config wireless-controller vap
  • edit <vap_name>
  • set pmf disable
  • next
  • end
