Commvault MS365 – OneDrive content indexing takes long time
The OneDrive cloud app is daily backuped with my backup plan and after successfull backup the content indexing job starting. The main issue is that content indexing takes very long time / maybe hangs at 10% for 4 days. Also another OneDrive content indexing jobs are waiting. In my case the access node (cloud apps) is the Media Agent, which is library for the cloud apps backups. For the indexing cloud apps i build a VM in VMware with 12C, 24G RAM and NvME storage – only content indexing of cloud apps, the vmware indexing doing a MA.
The main reason, why is OneDrive content indexing is very slow is, that on the MA was not successfully installed the role „Content Extractor“
Also very good tip to speed up the indexing is check the Java Max Memory on the index server.
