Commvault – Error code: [28:545] Description: Failed to process group policy object

we just finished the configuration of the Active Directory backup, but after backup, we got an error code: Error code: [28:545] Description: Failed to process group policy object  

The customer running on the 11.36.55 version, so i run upgrade to the latest maintenance release (11.36.65) – 30.7.2025 to the Commserve node and Active Directory agent node. But after succesfull upgrade the error was same. 

So we tried to change the additional settings of the client and add these lines: 

Name: ShorterPathForGPODump
Catgry: Active Directory
Type: String
Value: C:\CVGPO

also you need created the C:\CVGPO on the Active Directory node. 

Now the GPO backup runs completed OK.
