Intel X722 10GbE adapter fails to negotiate a link with some Huawei switches.
brand new server Fujitsu Primergy RX2540 M5 with PLAN EM 10Gb SFP+ OCP (Intel X722) 10 GbE SFP+ network card, customer have a Huawei S6720-16X-LI-16S-AC as core switch. The Intel x722 fails to negotiate a link when connected to a Huawei switch. I tried original and non-original DAC cables and link fails to negotiate. No matter if you have 2 or 4 port card with X722 series.The customer has another two nodes, which are connected to HUA switch and working normally, the network card is Intel X520.
The customer has on the HUA switches firmware: V200R019C10SPC500
This issue is not an Intel x722 issue. Huawei debugged the issue and provided a fix for this problem via Huawei switch firmware V200R011C10SPC600 patch level V200R011SPH005. Users can obtain the fix from Huawei support.
