The Veeam Backup Service service terminated with the following error: An exception occurred in the service when handling the control request.
One of my customer just renamed the VBR server and after reboot the we cannot connect to the VBR. The service Veeam Backup Service was stopped and when i tried to start it i got error message in application event log:
The solution is simple:
Just open the regedit.exe and go to the „Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication“ and change „SqlServerName„. After change, you can start all Veeam Services with powershell command: „Get-Service Veeam* | Start-Service„
