WinSCP Connection to VCSA failed – “Received too large SFTP packet”

WinSCP Connection to VCSA failed – “Received too large SFTP packet”

When you try to establish the WinSCP Connection to VCSA appliance, Connection may failed with the error „Received too large SFTP packet. Max supported packet size is 1024000 B” and connection will not get established.

The resolution of this issue is enable Bash on your VCSA

chsh -s /bin/bash root

Once all the necessary files are copied into VCSA,  return to the Appliance Shell using the command

chsh -s /bin/appliancesh root
