We just started a upgrade process from the VMware ESXi 7.0.3 to the latest VMware ESXi 8.0.3 on the DELL VRTX with Dell PowerEdge M630 blade servers. After successful upgrade of the first node the ESXi does not recognize the Shared PERC 8 controller for the direct attached storage. As always i used the Dell custom image.
i just started a standart procedure of upgrading customer esxi nodes from ESX 7.0.3 to the latest 8.0.3 using vSphere Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) image-based updates. So the first step was the configure latest image with Dell addon for PowerEdge Servers 803-A01. The last step is check compliance.
